NASSIM ROAD WALKING TOUR
Mon, 1st January 2024
9am to 11.30am

Join us for a delightful storytelling session with a short walk from Telok Ayer MRT to Telok Ayer Green. This event is perfect for children, seniors, and anyone interested in Chinese folklore, myths, and legends.

We meet at Telok Ayer MRT at 7:00pm. The story will revolve around the Chinese Moon Goddess, Chang’e, focusing on the “happy” version of her tale with Hou Yi.

Our journey begins with Hou Yi and The Legend of the 10 Suns, including the story of why the cockerel crows at sunrise. Please bring a light foldable chair so our children and seniors can sit comfortably during the narration.

We will conclude with the story of how mooncakes and lanterns became symbols of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Meeting Point: Telok Ayer MRT, Sat, 14th Sept 2024 at 7pm. Children under 18 will receive a lantern at the end of the storytelling. Please book responsibly to ensure our lanterns are not wasted. Together, we can work towards a gracious society!

Don’t miss this enchanting evening of stories and tradition!
